Myths or “mythos” meaning story or word for the Ancient Greeks was an allegorical medium to awaken the soul from its unmindful past, especially for those individuals who were sensitive enough to realize the obscured truth behind it. As stories, myths pronounce how characters enact on an ordered succession of events. Myths are symbolical tales from the past, which concerns about the nature and beginning of the universe.Where are myths coming from? Myths are also stories with a purpose, as it attempts to explain the manner the world is. It also explains the connection and relationship between Gods and humans. Although myths are not fact and are normally impossible, they still try to relay a message with an essential meaning, may it be social or religious affairs.A lot of people would usually try to figure out who created the universe or have questions why people existed. Gods, religion and myths were made when individuals tried to find answers to all their questions. Now, in the past, myths were similar with science because they have the ability to explain and define how things work. Through myths, questions that are not answered by modern science were also possible. Myths were considered by Victorian Scholars as survivals during the previous times.

Myths may also be connected to rituals and belief systems. They may function to direct social action and values. There are many other implications associated to myths. They are extraordinary characters that seem impossible in the real world; however, they are unique and extraordinary traits of mythic protagonists. Myths are opposed to science because it is not tested due to the primordial setting. Obviously, events from a different world then it would be impossible to happen in the real world.
